Hibs will play one of their most important games in recent times without two key players after goalkeeper Ofir Marciano (Pictured) and John McGinn were both called up for international duty.

Marciano, who has ten clean sheets to his name this season is in the Israel squad for their World Cup qualifying match against Spain which takes place on the night before Hibs face Falkirk.

He recently returned to first team action after suffering an injury against Bonnyrigg Rose in the Scottish Cup tie at Tynecastle.

McGinn was named in Scotland’s squad for the friendly against Canada at Easter Road a week on Wednesday and the World Cup qualifying game against Slovenia at Hampden Park on the day after the Bairns’ visit.

Hibs’ fans are hoping that Gordon Strachan will allow him to return to Easter Road after the Canada game however this is thought to be unlikely.

Had another first team squad member been selected then Hibs could have asked for the game to be postponed however unless injuries force an emergency call up then the game will take place.

Neil Lennon will also be without the injured Paul Hanlon, Liam Fontaine and Chris Humphrey.

Hibs are currently six points ahead of Falkirk with a game in hand.
