Just to emphasise the importance of Scotland’s win on Friday night to the team, their most recent win in the Women’s Six Nations was against France in 2010. A 10-8 victory in equally trying, but drier – it was difficult to see across the width of the pitch due to fog – conditions at Lasswade Rugby Club.

Images from the match will appear here over the next few days

  1. Sorry – but this was not Scotland’s second Six Nations win, as yoi imply. It was their 18th. They were runners-up as recently as 2003, losing only to England. And – lest anyone forget – Scotland were champions in 1998.

  2. I may well stand corrected Mr. Birch. It seems that the anecdotal evidence from the rugby press corps is not all it’s cracked up to be. Still their first since 2010, though. I was there….. Updated now.
