A Flybe plane arriving into Edinburgh

Nobody was injured, but a Flybe flight #BE1284 from Edinburgh to Amsterdam which departed the capital at 12.25, had a bumpy landing when the wheels collapsed as it arrived at its destination with 59 passengers and crew on board.

David Fleming Jr who is the editor of St Johnstone Football Club News tweeted a photo of the plane after he along with all the other passengers got off safely.

And again on Twitter Matt Lorenson tweeted a photo of the stricken plane after disembarking.

Schiphol Airport advised:  “The landing gear of a FlyBe airplane collapsed during touch down at the Oostbaan at Schiphol around 17.00h. There were 59 people on the plane. Nobody is injured. All passengers are brought to the terminal by bus at the moment.

“Flight operation is up and running again.”

There have been knock-on delays however, as the latest flight to arrive at 17.35 was due at 16.05.

There is a video of a Flybe plane on the AirLive website which is said to be the very plane which crash-landed today:
