Popping up for Christmas
We’re a creative community that pops up on High Streets all over the UK! Bringing together makers from Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Derbyshire, Milton Keynes, Oxford and Brighton, we’ll be at 17 Dundas Street till 19 December.
Opening hours (Monday- Saturday, 11-7 pm)
#shoplocal
Everyone in the shop is a UK maker and everything is lovingly made or designed by them. Nothing mass manufactured here
#shopsmall #shopindependent
When you buy from an independent maker, you are bringing them 1 step closer to their dream come true. Thank you! 🙂
We’d love to see you instore or at one of our workshops! Here’s a small selection of what we have planned.
Our makers, just to name a few!
It’s nice to come home. We have with us two Scots now based in London.
Susse – Edinburgh born and bred- creates fun prints for the home, which she uses on tea towels, cards, calendars and more.
Lynsey from Glasgow was halfway around the world, trekking around India, when she was inspired by her ugly money belt to make stylish money storage accessories such as money cuffs and belts!
But variety is also nice. Becky from Milton Keynes loves exploring the countryside around her home, painting the British wildlife around her and getting them made into tea towels, tote bags, oven mitts etc in Lancashire. This is the first time her work will be shown in Scotland!
We also support the charity Fine Cell Work, which teaches prisoners how to embroider and gives them a second chance by enabling them to earn money through the sales of the works. Everywhere Makers & Friends goes, we give Fine Cell Work a free space in our shop.
We have works by new makers in store, every Tuesday 🙂
What’s on
– Immortalise your name in wire & make it into a necklace!
– Cosy pom pom slippers
– Upcycle old T-shirts into jewellery
– and more 🙂
