A police investigation is underway after a 28-year-old man was stabbed in the chest inside a pub in Drum Street this afternoon.
Emergency services attended the scene and enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police in Edinburgh are investigating following a serious assault within a pub in Drum Street at around 2.40 p.m. on Sunday 27th November.
“A 28-year-old man sustained an injury to his chest and was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
“His injury is not believed to be life-threatening at this time and inquiries into the full circumstances surrounding this incident are ongoing.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or make an anonymous report to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
