Police are again appealing for information following a series of car vandalism in the North Edinburgh area.
The incidents occurred overnight between Sunday, November 13 and Monday, November 14, and have taken place across the North of the city, with incidents reported in Granton, Boswall, Trinity and Hawthornevale.
The targeted cars all appear to have had their windows either smashed or attempted to be smashed.
Since these incidents happened, police have been actively investigating. Officers have spoken to a number of complainers and have conducted an extensive check of CCTV in the local area.
Enquiries are currently ongoing and officers are now following a positive line of investigation.
So far over thirty incidents have been reported, however police believe there may be more that have been unreported and are encouraging more victims to come forward.
Inspector Shane McKenna of Drylaw Police Station said: “We have had a number of people come forward regarding these incidents, but we believe there are more people affected who have not contacted police.
“Let me be clear, this is not just a minor matter. This was a malicious and extensive act of vandalism on people’s property and it will not be tolerated.
“If you have been affected, or know someone who has been, please contact us. By doing so you will help us build a case against those responsible and bring them to justice.”
Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
