The Lord Provost the Rt Hon Donald Wilson now has a cake in the shape of Edinburgh Castle which has been donated to him for fundraising purposes.
Oak furnitureland opened a new store at Fort Kinnaird last weekend and the company handed over a splendid 3D creation to celebrate the store opening.
“I am delighted to be opening the new superstore and I wish them every success for the future. The Edinburgh Castle cake donation is a wonderful gesture to support and highlight the One City Trust, established in 2003 from the Lord Provost’s Commission on Social exclusion.
“The Trust fulfils its mission by funding projects in areas of the city which tackle inequality and poverty and support social welfare, education and social inclusion. To find out more about the Trust or support with a donation visit www.onecity.org.uk.
If you would like to donate then click here to go to the Lord Provost’s Virgin Money fundraising page.
The winner will be drawn tomorrow 5 October 2016!
The amazing Edinburgh Castle cake has been designed by Dalgety Bay based cake artist Lyndsey Lannie of Cakes by Lyndsey and CakeBomb. Lyndsey Lannie is famous for her sculpted cake creations. Some of her Scottish themed cake art includes a stunning Forth Rail Bridge cake and super-sized Tunnock’s Tea Cakes.
