A police investigation is ongoing after two teenage girls were injured in a hit and run collision on Inchview Terrace.
The girls, aged 16 and 17, were taken to hospital after being struck by a Volkswagen Golf on Thursday evening.
The vehicle was recovered nearby, but officers are attempting to trace the driver who fled the scene and is still at large.
A police spokesman said: “Police in Edinburgh are investigating following a hit and run collision in Portobello.
“A Volkswagen Golf was involved in a collision with two female pedestrians during the incident, which happened around 5.40 p.m. on Thursday in Inchview Terrace.
“A 16-year-old sustained and arm injury, while a 17-year-old suffered an injury to her leg. Both were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where they continue to be treated.”
