Hibs have announced the signing of Ofir Marciano from FC Ashdod on a season-long loan deal. The Club is now in the process of finalising a work permit and completing the registration process.
Ofir is an Israeli internationalist with several competitive caps to his name and has previously played in the top two tiers of domestic football in Israel and with Royal Excel Mouscron in the Belgian Pro League.
The goalkeeper, 26, says that he is excited at the prospect of joining Hibs and helping the Club to achieve the main ambition of promotion back to the top flight of football in Scotland.
Ofir said: “I am very happy to be here. I have had a look at the stadium today and am very excited about coming here and playing in front of the fans.
“I know the club’s ambitions. There’s an expectation after the cup win last season and I hope we can meet these and make the fans happy.”
