Police investigating an allegation that a disabled man was verbally abused by Hibs fans on their way to the game against Dumbarton on Saturday 27th February have charged a man with wasting police time.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “With reference to a previous release regarding a disabled man being verbally abused on a train travelling between Carntyne and Glasgow on Saturday, 27 February, please note that a 51-year-old man is now the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal for allegedly wasting police time.

“The public and media are thanked for their assistance in this matter.”
