Police have appealed for witnesses after a Suzuki motorbike and Renault Clio collided on Salamander Street in Leith shortly after 4.30pm yesterday which resulted in a motorcyclist being taken to hospital with leg injuries.
Salamander Street was closed between Seafield Place and Baltic Street but reopened at 5.40pm.
A police spokesman said: “The incident, involving a grey coloured Renault Clio and the Suzuki motorbike, happened shortly before 4.40pm on Monday, near to the junction with Carron Place.
“A male motorcyclist sustained a minor leg injury and has been taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for medical attention. No other injuries have been reported at this time.”
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police on 101.
