Liam Fontaine is determined to ensure that Hibs keep the momentum going at the top of the table, with a 16 match unbeaten run at stake when they face Queen of the South at Easter Road on Saturday.
Hibs currently sit second on the table, three points behind leaders Rangers in the race for automatic promotion to the top flight and with the pair meeting on the 28th neither club can afford to drop points at this vital time of the season.
Hibs were unable to get the better of the ‘Doonhamers’ last season but have held the upper hand this time winning 3-0 at Palmerston Park earlier in the season thanks to goals from Jason Cummings, Liam Henderson and Martin Boyle.
Fontaine told Hibs TV: “We will go into the game looking to win it and looking to extend our run.
“We are confident as we have been in our previous games so there will be no difference thought process from us.
“They’ll be hard work and organised as they always are, they’ll play and it’s just up to us again to be superior and put our mark on them. Out run them, out work them and out play them and win the game.”
