Next year’s Gardening Scotland, which takes place in the grounds of the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh from 3-5 June 2016, has officially opened for online ticket sales.
The national gardening event welcomes both novice and seasoned gardeners through its gates, with the aim of creating an environment which inspires and teaches, allowing lovers of the outdoors of all ages and experience to embrace their garden, allotment or window box.
Families will also enjoy Gardening Scotland, with the Big Back Garden featuring bees, play equipment and a host of other activities to keep children of all ages entertained and parents inspired with garden play ideas.
Those who visit Gardening Scotland with planting in mind will be treated to a fantastic range of Show Gardens, the spectacular Floral Hall, the well stocked Plant Village and the very popular Garden Workshops.
If your love of gardening is secondary to your love of food then you will not be disappointed. Gardening Scotland also features an exciting cookery theatre and a host of foodie exhibitors.
Martin Dare, the event organiser, said:”If autumn wind and rain and fallen leaves are making you feel a little despondent about your garden, why not cheer yourself up and treat yourself to a ticket to Gardening Scotland 2016? Whether your garden is a passion, a hobby or an aspiration, June’s Gardening Scotland will provide endless inspiration and ideas as to how you can make better use of your outside space, whether it be with planting, design, play or outdoor dining.
“From poppies and Pimms to begonias and BBQs, there really is something for everyone at Gardening Scotland. With Floral Art, Show Gardens, Cookery Demonstrations, a Craft Marquee, Family Play Area, Champagne Marquee and so much more, anyone with an interest in our gardens and the magical things they produce will enjoy their day.
“Why not treat a loved one to a Gardening Scotland ticket for Christmas, or simply give your own gardening enthusiasm a winter boost by treating yourself to a ticket to Scotland’s gardening festival?”
