Police  are appealing for information and issuing a public safety warning following the loss of medication in the Corstorphine area.

A blue plastic bag containing 26 10mg Diazepam tablets and around 240ml of Methadone was left by a 45-year-old man at a bus stop on St John’s Road, near to its junction with Featherhall Avenue, at around 12noon on Monday, October 26.

Police are now appealing to anyone who has come across the medication to hand it in.

Sergeant Stuart Byron said: “These are prescribed medications and can be extremely dangerous if taken.

“Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any officer.”
