Ross Kohler, 21, from Edinburgh will be encouraging people to look out their posh frocks and polish their sporrans for the Charity Ball Ceilidh on 4th September at the Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor, to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK.

Ross will be organising the event for his father Philip who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s three years ago, and has been fighting the condition head on ever since.

Ross explains: “Ever since my father was diagnosed, I have been constantly researching more and more into the condition, and have discovered the wide range of research projects that Parkinson’s UK funds.

Unfortunately, it has also made me well aware of the significant costs involved in funding research and the need to raise money to find a cure. My father is a constant inspiration, and the way he deals with having Parkinson’s should be an inspiration to others”.

Tickets for the evening cost £50pp and include a sparkling wine reception and three course meal. Visit www.parkinsonscharityball.yapsody.com to book.
