Controversial referee Willie Collum has awarded Hibs’ second goal to Falkirk’s Luke Leahy thus denying Jason Cummings’ his first senior hat-trick.
The Hibernian website had originally awarded the goal to Cummings who after the game said: “I am sure I put it in. I am sure it is my goal and I will claim the hat-trick.”
The hat-trick would have been the first from a Hibs’ teenager for almost 30 years when Gordon ‘Jukebox’ Durie scored 3 against Morton in a 5-1 win.
TV footage from behind the goals recorded by Hibs TV appears to show Cummings getting the final touch to Liam Fontaine’s header but unless Collum views the footage and changes his report then the ‘goal’ will go down in the record books as an own goal.
So who got the final touch?
