  1. The marching band shown is St Ronan’s Silver Band. The band, from the wee Borders town of Innerleithen in the Tweed Valley, celebrated their bi-centenary in 2010. The bugler, our son Douglas Couchman, is a proud member of St Ronan’s Silver Band and it was his last engagement with the band before heading to Huddersfield University to start a BMus(Hons) degree. Needless to say, it was a very “proud Mum and Dad” moment for us to hear him play “The Last Post” and “Reveille” on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh as part of such an important occasion.
