Police Scotland confirm that Cara Wilson has been traced safe and well.
The 14-year-old was found on Lothian Road, Edinburgh at around 12.40pm today.
The public are thanked for their assistance during this enquiry.A 14 year-old schoolgirl has been reported missing in Midlothian and police are seeking help from the public to try and find her.
Cara Wilson was last seen within her home in Gorebridge about 11.30pm last night 7th August 2014.
Cara is described as 5ft 8” tall, slim build, long dark brown hair white trainers, black leggings and a sleeveless coral top.
She was last seen in Cockburn Street, Edinburgh on Friday 8th August 2014 and concern is now growing for her welfare.
Anyone who believes they have seen Cara is asked to come forward.
A police spokesman said: “Cara has left her home and we are keen to trace her as soon as possible.
“Members of the public are asked to contact police immediately if they can assist officers with their investigation to trace her.
