Building on the success of its award-winning lounges at Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Birmingham airports, No.1 Traveller, which celebrates its fifth birthday this week, announced that it will open its latest lounge at Edinburgh Airport next month which will include a new Touchdown service.
Edinburgh is now the UK’s fifth busiest airport, serving almost 10 million passengers a year.
No.1 Edinburgh will be the company’s first Scottish lounge, creating 20 new jobs in the airport. For the first time, all passengers travelling between Edinburgh Airport and Gatwick, Stansted or Birmingham will be able to take advantage of No.1’s lounges on both legs of their journey.
Located after security, No.1 Edinburgh will be the most central lounge location at the airport, convenient for all gates, boasting double-height ceilings and a broad range of seating areas. It will be available to all departing passengers as well as domestic arrival passengers and will be the launch location for No.1’s new Touchdown service, providing convenient, rapid access to desks, the internet, news media, food and drink. It will also be unique in offering the following complimentary services:
- A fully tended bar, serving draft and bottled beers, premium spirits and a selection of wines, complemented by a wide range of self-service drinks
- A self-service Pantry Table offering a range of freshly prepared food throughout the day
- A choice of seasonal dishes from the kitchen, made to order
- Daily newspapers, a wide range of top magazine titles, desktop and wireless internet accessand rolling television news
- No.1’s Travel Concierge service, offering assistance with onward journey planning
No1Traveller.com will also offer its full ‘Driveway to Runway’ service at Edinburgh Airport, including chauffeur-driven airport transfers, airport parking, security fast-track and its VIP Departure Service (which includes portering, preferential check-in, fast-track security and the choice to board the aircraft first or last), all of which can be booked online, separately or combined to create a tailored package.
To celebrate its launch, No.1 is offering a free glass of champagne worth £7.50 with all Edinburgh lounge bookings made at www.No1Traveller.com before 30 April, for visits anytime during 2014. Adult entry costs £22.50 per person in advance, or £27.50 on the door.
