Forsyths – Wee Dub Festival – Leith High Flats – National Library of Scotland exhibition – Greyfriars tartan
Some people may remember when the building in our photo was Forsyths. Now it is owned by Sir Philip Green’s company Arcadia and houses Top Shop.
In 2012 The Scotsman reported that the tycoon had ‘baulked’ at the cost of replacing the spire which used to be on top of the building. Well it is still not there.
Does anyone else think that it is time to force the building to be restored to its former beauty with its spire back in place?

Have you seen the new Greyfriars Tartan? The Grassmarket Community Project has developed it and made it into dog coats. There is a cute photo of the dog from GCP over here wearing one of them.
WE closed our storyboard about dogs as not many of you wanted to share photos of your pets with us, but you could add a photo of your cat either with or without its tartan coat to our EdinburghReportage storyboard…. Go on show them off!
