Edinburgh Innertube Map explain that work to upgrade Craigleith Junction on the cycle path which is now about to start and which will take a couple of months to complete.
The idea is to solve the drainage problems, undergrowth at the edge of the path and the problems in having cyclists and pedestrians on the same path.

Council Leader Andrew Burns has an allotment which he photographs regularly and which forms a large part of his blog.
Allotments are a big part of many people’s lives but there is a dearth of available plots. Most allotments in the city have a waiting list of several years. If you are interested in putting your name down then you can do so here.
However there is another way of getting a garden to dig, or getting your garden dug for you…..Edinburgh Garden Partners is a kind of dating service for those who want to grow things and those who have a garden which is just too big for them….
And in North Edinburgh there is North Edinburgh Grows who have a new garden for everyone to help with. Edible Estates in Edinburgh has several gardening projects across the city, and the Green Gym has a community garden at the Calders in Wester Hailes. Do you know of any others? Then let us know as we would love to feature them. We made a little video about Duddingston Community Garden last year:-
