SONY DSCToday there will be two shows of Little Red Riding Hood at the Spiegeltent in St Andrew Square. A children’s show staged by Edinburgh’s Nonsense Room Productions, the team behind Hairy McLairy, complete with a wolf.

Following the successful reopening of Haymarket Station last week Network Rail are working over Christmas to get some major parts of the next phase done while everyone else is having their turkey. The old footbridge is being removed, and First have some details of changes to their bus services here.

Supermarkets in general will close early this evening around 18:00.

Here are the opening hours over Christmas for Sainsburys at Blackhall.

Asda’s Leith Superstore is open till 19:00 and then reopens on Boxing Day. Details here.

Aldi is also open till 18:00 this evening so make sure you have your turkey or whatever you fancy  bought before then!

Tesco is open till 19:00 and then closed till 27 December. Details here.

There will be a carol service tonight at St Giles Cathedral beginning at 11.30pm.

Tomorrow there are three services at various times too.
