Hearts Managing Director David Southern is now in a position to offer his full support to the bid by Foundation of Hearts, and has written an open letter to fans urging them to pledge their support too.
Foundation of Hearts now has preferred bidder status and it is looking increasingly likely that the club will be owned and run by the supporters in future in what Southern hopes will be a more stable future for the club.
