There are reports this evening of a fire in Murrayburn which may involve the Dove Centre at Hailesland which until recently was home to the over 50s group who held a lunch club and many other activities there. Other reports say it is the former CHAI centre next door.
Reports suggest that the area is thick with black smoke and there is a police helicopter in attendance.
There are no other details at the moment, but it appears that a large crowd is forming to see what is going on.
The over 50s group were given notice to leave the building in April this year. They were the last tenants in the huts which are owned by the council, and which The Edinburgh Reporter had been told was to be demolished.
