Edinburgh Capitals have announced that they will be playing two home exhibition games as a warm up for the 13/14 season.
Hull Stingrays will visit Murrayfield on Sunday 1 September 6pm (doors open at 5pm), and Dundee Stars will visit on Tuesday 3 September 8pm (doors open at 7pm)
Ticket prices are £10 adult, £7 concessions, £5 child. All Season Ticket holders get a £2 discount on the relevant entry price
Meanwhile the Capitals have signed Jan Safar who will return to the club after spending a year playing in Kazakhstan. Player Coach Richard Hartmann told the club website: “I have always seen potential in Jan and I think the year in Kazakhstan playing and training in a tough and disciplined environment will have developed and matured his game. Jan has already been training for a number of weeks and will be fit and ready to play from the start. The squad is taking shape and we are looking to add two very experienced players for the start of the season.”
Jan said, “I am delighted to get this opportunity to return to Edinburgh as I really enjoyed playing and living in the city. I would like to thank Richard Hartmann and I am determined to help take the Capitals forward this season and to prove myself as a strong asset for the Capitals. I have really developed my game over the last season and I am looking forward to the challenge.
The Capitals start the season with a trip to Belfast on Saturday 7 September where they will face the Giants, then the following evening, they fact Fife Flyers at Murrayfield.
