Scottish Citylink has today launched the first coach service to operate between Edinburgh Airport and Glasgow city centre.

The new Citylinkair service provides a direct, non-stop service between Glasgow’s Buchanan Bus Station and Edinburgh Airport, with journey times of just one hour.

Delivering a regular direct service, the new coach link operates from morning until night, allowing passengers to catch the first service which leaves Glasgow at 0400hrs, and arrive in time for the earliest flight departure from Edinburgh Airport. The last service leaves the airport at 2230hrs.

The journey is expected to take no more than one hour each way, with services operating every 30 minutes during peak times. The new link offers the quickest method of public transport to get from Edinburgh Airport into the heart of Glasgow.

The Citylinkair fleet is made up of five brand new Scania K360 vehicles with Irizar i6 body. The coaches seat 59 people or 55 plus a wheelchair and have ample space for passengers’ full designated luggage allowance.
