Police have released CCTV footage that shows the missing Russian student Yulia Solodyankina at Buchanan Street bus station in Glasgow on Friday, June 7.
This is the last confirmed sighting of the 22-year-old, who is seen on CCTV at the bus station around 4.55pm. She is seen to walk into the central concourse after alighting a bus from Edinburgh, and walk directly into a newsagent.
She remains in the shop for around a minute, and is then seen to emerge and briefly turn around, before walking beneath a sign highlighting the information desk, and out of view.
Yulia had travelled to Glasgow on a Citylink bus from Edinburgh, which left St Andrews Square bus station in the Capital around 3.25pm.
Prior to boarding the bus she was seen on CCTV in South Bridge at 2.50pm, before walking into North Bridge, past the Balmoral Hotel into Princes Street. She was then seen on CCTV in Multrees Walk, before arriving at the bus station.
The footage shows her wearing a dark coat with belt, dark shoulder bag, a red and orange coloured scarf, grey trousers, and brown shows with white laces.
Yulia speaks fluent English with a strong Russian accent, and is described as 5ft 6ins tall, with a small mole on her left cheek.
Chief Inspector Mark Patterson, from Police Scotland Edinburgh Division, said: “The CCTV footage confirms that Yulia was in Buchanan Street bus station at 4.55pm on Friday, June 7, and we continue to carry out enquiries to establish her movements after this point.
“We know that she travelled to Glasgow on a Citylink bus that left St Andrew Square bus station in Edinburgh earlier that afternoon, and we would appeal to any passengers who had contact with Yulia during that bus journey to come forward.
“Likewise we would appeal to anyone else who has seen or heard from Yulia since she was last seen in Buchanan Street to contact us immediately.”
