The Feeling Safe Community Forum aims to do just that – to create an environment where people feel safe. They are currently seeking suggestions for safer neighbourhood priorities (joint Police & Council priorities) from anyone who lives, works, visits or studies in Leith as to what can be done to make Leith a safer place, and those suggestions will be put to the public vote at their meeting on Saturday 23 March 2013. Up to six suggestions will be chosen as priorities for a three month period (3 from Leith Walk ward and 3 from Leith Ward).
The second public meeting of the forum will be held on Saturday 23 March 2013, from 11am in South Leith Parish Halls, Henderson Street and you are welcome to attend.
Suggestions can also be made by telephone on 0131 529 7208, by email at communitysafety.leith@edinburgh.gov.uk or online until Sunday 10th March 2013.

Leith Walk Councillor Nick Gardner said:-“The forum is a real chance for Leithers to tell us where our ideas are right, where they are not so right, and to give us a steer on what officers use some of their valuable time and resource on.”
