Millhall Fishery have advised anglers that they will remain closed until Saturday, July 19. Weed growth around the bankside platforms has been an issue here.
Cutting has been carried out and club officials have apologised for any inconvenience.
Meanwhile, Linlithgow Loch have seen 27 boats leave the harbour and ten fish weighing 32lb were kept with 93 fish returned.
The successful set-ups were midge-tip, sink-tip, Di5 and Di7 lines with blobs, boobies, buzzers/muskins, diawl bachs, snakes, and lures proving the most effective patterns.
The best catches for the week were by Nigel Muckle and Ian Dobbie, who both returned 14 fish, George Pellini who released 12 trout, Jimmy Russell with 14 fish and Ian Dobbie was back again and, on this occasion, he released 18 trout.
Tom Lambert, club secretary of the Forth Area Federation of Anglers who administer the water, said: “We regularly restock. Boats are available most days for either full-day or four-hour sessions. To avoid disappointment, call 01506 671753 or book online in advance.”
On to sea fishing and Bass Rock Shore Angling League are due to host the seventh round of their summer series of Dunbar Harbour sea wall on Wednesday, July 16.
This is a measure and release match with registration at the harbour from 6pm to 6.30pm. Fishing is from 7pm to 10pm.
Anglers have been advised to bring heavier rods and reels as they will be fishing rough ground.
