Capital kick-boxing twins, Arran and Freya Drever, are off to the Italian Cup this weekend as part of a contingent from the Wolfpack Club in Granton.
And the aim is to build ranking points and experience having stepped up to the 12-15 year old age grade in 2025.
Signs look promising as at last month’s British Championships in Nottingham, Freya struck gold in the Points Fighting category which earns her a place in Team GB for the European Championships in Portugal in August.
Although Arran didn’t manage to add to his club’s haul of 15 golds, 11 silvers and 16 bronzes he did manage to reach the quarter final in four categories – no mean achievement.
The Italian Cup in Jesolo is a major event expected to attract a massive 3700 entries overall.
