Hibs head coach David Gray has urged his players to end 2024 on a high.

They face Kilmarnock today in-front of what will be a sell-out crowd at Easter Road and have an opportunity to make it four league wins on the bounce.

The match won’t be an easy one, though, as Kilmarnock are also in good form being unbeaten in their last four William Hill Premiership matches.

Whilst Gray is aware of the challenge Hibs face, he’s made his message to the squad very clear.

Speaking ahead of the game Gray said: ““It’ll be a real tough game. We’ve had two real tough away games and got six points, which is great, but the onus is going to be completely different against Kilmarnock. The expectation will be on us to win, and rightly so.

“Kilmarnock will come up here and be a real tough test. It’ll be one for the fans to look forward to.

“I know it’s a sell-out, and we want to end the year as positively as we can.”

Thanks to the ‘Festive Football for a Fiver’ initiative, every seat in Easter Road will be filled, and Gray is excited about the atmosphere inside the stadium.

“It will have a huge impact. When both sets of fans get right behind their team, it inspires the team on. I’m sure our fans will be exactly the same at Easter Road as they were on Boxing Day.

“It’s credit to the club for putting on Football for a Fiver, and with it being the holidays everyone is coming.

“As long as we can do what we need to do on the pitch, then the fans will always be behind us. Hopefully we can get three points.”
