Highly rated Hibs youngster Jacob MacIntyre has signed a new three-year contract with the Club, keeping him at Easter Road until the summer of 2027.
The 18 year-old midfielder has progressed through the ranks of the Hibs Academy and has impressed for both the Under-18s and Development Squad in recent seasons.
Earlier this year, he made his senior debut in a 3-0 victory for the first team over Livingston, following in the footsteps of older brother Oscar.
During the 2022/23 season, he was part of the Hibs side that produced a memorable run in the UEFA Youth League, beating Norwegian side Molde and French outfit Nantes in the competition before being narrowly edged out in a showpiece tie against German giants Borussia Dortmund at Easter Road.
That team produced a number of players to make their senior Hibs bow, including Jacob and Oscar, as well as the likes of Kanayo Megwa and Rudi Molotnikov.
MacIntyre is also a Scotland youth international and helped the Under-17s national side reach the 2023 U17 EUROs.
Hibs Sporting Director Malky Mackay said: “Jacob is a talented young professional and we’re delighted he wants to continue his development at Hibs.
“Nurturing our own homegrown talent is very important for the Club and Jacob is an excellent example of how we want to bring those young players through the system, having been with Hibernian since the age of 9.
“We hope over the next few years he can continue to mature as a player and begin to push for a consistent place in the First Team squad.”
