Following years of chat about the terrapins in Lochend Park, photographer Ian Jacobs eventually got a shot of them this week.
The Friends of Lochend Park have mentioned their existence on their Facebook page, but this was a first for Ian while out walking the dog. The group organise regular litter picks and assist with bulb planting during the winter months.
Lochend Park is a haven for wildlife tucked in behind Meadowbank Sports Centre, but was flooded over the weekend due to heavy rain.
