The annual Caravan Show Weekend at Pettycur Bay will also be an advance celebration of the Wallace family buying the park four decades ago.

The family will be starting the celebrations ahead of the actual anniversary in July when the annual Caravan Show Weekend takes place from Friday 24 May to Sunday 26 May 2024.

The park has grown considerably over the years, with a community feeling at its heart, and the event will showcase the industry leading luxury holiday homes available for ownership. It also provides a platform for local sellers and charity fundraisers, with free entertainment including the Wardenā€™s free Barbecue for all the family, from noon until 3pm on both days.

On the Friday the event will begin with Lisa Funkidz Childrenā€™s entertainer performing from 6pm to 7.30 in the Images suite, followed by Fife based band, ā€˜The Fretsā€™ from 8pm till 11pm.

Local radio station Kingdom FM will stage a roadshow in Images suite from 11am to 3pm on the Saturday, with many stalls, including crafts, tombola, and bouncy castle and games. Facepainting and ā€˜Magic Malky the Magicianā€™ will be on hand to keep the children amused.

Adults can view the selection of new and used Holiday Homes on display from some of UKā€™S top manufacturers, such as Atlas, Carnaby, and ABI. As ever, the Wallace family can provide plenty of knowledge and advise on the Holiday Home buying process.

Top Vocalist Band ā€œSo Drivenā€ will perform at 8pm in Images to bring Saturdayā€™s schedule to a close.

On Sunday there will be more face painting, stalls, crafts and many other delights from 11am. Uncle Billy will be entertaining the children with bouncy castle and games. A fun Karaoke show for the family will take place at 7pm.

ā€œMake sure you turn up early to take full advantage of all the activities, as it is going to be a busy weekend,ā€ said General Manager Janet Murray, who confirmed her delight that the park was once again offering an Annual Caravan Show weekend.

ā€œThis weekend is always a calendar highlight, traditionally taking place the last weekend in May,ā€ she said. ā€œIt allows the whole Pettycur community to come together to host a fantastic day for everyone. Our aim is to make the event bigger and better every year.ā€

Janet finished by saying: ā€œ2024 is set to be a very special year for us due to the 40th Anniversary. Under the ownership of the Wallace family, the park has gone from strength to strength, from a humble caravan park to the major venue it is today, with its own Leisure Centre and Hotel. As we have seen on ā€œLife on the Bay,ā€ now in its third series, there is a vibrant community here with many of our predominantly local staff having been with us for a long time, and many loyal customers returning year after year.ā€
