Investigation

Our investigation revealed in our December newspaper into the disgraced GAA player Kevin McGourty, also known as Caoimhean MacDhorchaidh, has resulted in the sacking of McGourty and his partner Anushka Punniah by Star Pubs & Bars. “It’s here – the Pipes of Christmas is just a few sleeps away. So much incredible holiday magic has been happening behind the scenes to make this our best concert ever. We don’t like to give much away, but we can tell you we are delighted to be premiering several new works composed exclusively for our concert. Included in the mix is a retelling of an ancient, Hebridean Gaelic Christmas Eve tradition.

Tickets are almost gone!

“Only Sunday evening tickets remain available but they are going fast and we encourage you to book quickly if you plan to attend. Reservations are still being accepted for the global webcast, and can be reserved up until broadcast dates.

Still time to support the show and our cultural heritage mission

“Our concert production fundraiser is critical to ensuring we can present this beloved concert and return the proceeds from the event to our scholarships and other cultural outreach programs. If you haven’t already, we invite you to help us reach our fundraising goals. We’re getting so close to our target and would love to hit it by the end of the month. Thank you for your continued support.”

The Pipes of Christmas in New York on 16 and 17 December will be webcast the following weekend.

Funding for Rowan Alba

In the capital, Rowan Alba has received £5,000 to support housing homeless people with complex needs in 24-hour supported accommodation, with the funding targeted at improving well-being via social activities and peer support.

Karen Barr, CEO Rowan Alba said,

“The generous support from The Barrack Charitable Trust is vital in helping us give long-term homes to people who have been homeless for years.
