The Eric Liddell Community invited everyone to join them at their recent Spring Fair.
The local community came together for this event to enjoy a wide range of activities including art and craft stalls, a plant sale, face painting, a cake sale, Pimm’s and mocktail stand and children’s activities.
The community hub’s popular Café Connect was open to everyone with people enjoying teas and coffees, freshly baked cakes and home cooking.
Claire Ritchie, Chief Operating Officer of The Eric Liddell Community said: “We have been looking forward to opening the rebranded Eric Liddell Community once again for the Spring Fair, giving our community an opportunity for everyone to enjoy our beautiful building while providing a variety of activities for all people.
“Although we are well known in the community as one of Edinburgh’s specialist dementia day care and service providers, we also welcome the wider community and a range of other groups. We hope this event will have provided an enjoyable day for everyone who attended and showcase the wonderful rooms and spaces we have available for our community to use as Covid restrictions continue to ease.
“The event raised over £3,300, with all proceeds being used to help the people that we support and the services which matter to them and the wider community.”
Over the past months, the charity and community hub has undertaken a rebrand, becoming The Eric Liddell Community instead of its previous name of the Eric Liddell Centre. This new name represents the priorities for the future, continuing the journey and progress towards our vision to live in a community where no one feels lonely or isolated.
