Fans travelling to the Borders over the next two weekends can make substantial savings by booking their tickets online as the Berwick FTS Bandits, powered by Keenwood Karpets, have announced an exclusive offer which covers the visit of SGB Championship high-flyers Glasgow Tigers on Saturday (May 28) and the Championship/National Development League double header with Leicester’s Lions and Cubs seven days later.

Fans should visit berwickspeedway.com/tickets to book adult (£17 v Glasgow, £24 v Leicester) or concessionary (£13/£20 for over-65 or students – proof of eligibility required at point of entry) tickets then select the Kids Go Free Pass option and anyone that they are responsible for under the age of 16 will automatically receive free admission.

A Berwick spokesman said: “As a club we prefer that spectators buy tickets in advance via the website. They remain available up until 15 minutes before the scheduled start time and the simple scanning procedure allows for quicker entry to the stadium as well as allowing the club to minimise ever-escalating banking charges”.

If an event is cancelled then the cost of the tickets will be reimbursed and cash turnstiles will continue to operate but anyone choosing that option will pay £5 for juniors (12-15 years) at Championship matches, £6 for double-headers, and £1 for under-11s.

Cash and online tickets are the only options. Berwick cannot accept card payments at the turnstiles and club co-owner Jamie Courtney said: “Booking online offers a big potential saving for the many family groups who might be thinking of watching their speedway at Berwick over the next couple of weeks.

“The benefit to us as a club is quite considerable and we are happy to pass that on to those fans who support us by booking online.” For more information contact club@berwickspeedway.com
