Former Edinburgh Monarchs star, Josh Pickering, is the favourite for the Championship League Riders’ Championship at Sheffield on Saturday September 12 (7pm).
All nine Championship clubs are represented, with Glasgow Tigers’ rider, Chris Harris, defending the title he won at Scunthorpe last season.
Pickering (pictured), who won in 2024 at Redcar, will be riding on his home Premiership track, whilst in-form Glasgow Tigers star, Leon Flint, a former Berwick Bandits racer, will also be on home territory.
There are two other former champions, Charles Wright and ex-Edinburgh Monarchs skipper, Sam Masters, in the line-up and Dan Thompson plus Kye Thomson represent Edinburgh. Peter Kidemand is in for Berwick.
