Police are appealing for information after a robbery at a newsagents in North Berwick on Thursday, 20 May, 2021.
Around 2pm, officers were called to Sweet News on High Street in North Berwick, after a man had threatened staff with a knife and then run off with a three figure sum of money.
The suspect is described as white, 5 ft 5 in height, of slight build, wearing a black coat with a hood, a black face covering and black trousers/jogging bottoms.
Inspector David Hughes, North Berwick Police Station, said: “Thankfully no one was injured as a result of this robbery, however, it was a very frightening experience for the staff in the store.
“The High Street is very busy around this time and there were a good number of people about, so I would ask that anyone, who has not yet come forward to police, get in touch as their information could be very helpful to our enquiry.
“We know that there were a couple of delivery drivers in the street and also a coach passing at the time. We’d be keen to see any dash-cam footage they may have.”
