The Transport and Environment Committee may never have had so many deputations as it has to read before the meeting on Thursday at 10am.

They have just been published and are included below for you to read. All councillors on the TEC are expected to read them too, as the council has not yet worked out a way of allowing members of the public the opportunity of presenting a deputation in person.

When deputations are presented in person they are subject to fairly strict time limits on what they can say – if all of these were read out the meeting and then questions answered afterwards, it would be a very lengthy one indeed, but all points are well made.

Some welcome the measures implemented or proposed in the Spaces for People programme and others are in the form of objections to what the council proposes to do. One in the case of Brunstane Road positively implores the council to turn their neighbourhood into a Low Traffic Neighbourhood.

You can watch the meeting of the committee online here from 10am.
