The Scotch Malt Whisky Society is offering its take on Burns this week with some of the rare single malts behind their bar mixed in a new cocktail.

This will have scotch whisky as its main ingredient along with Vermouth and a splash of liqueur like Benedictine.

As their single malts catalogue is categorised by flavour this really is a cocktail which you can customise. The flavour profiles range from Old & Dignified to Young & Spritely!

The lighter whisky has a more refreshing ring to it but a more mature malt will result in a sweeter Bobby Burns. And yes that is what they call it. It was first concocted in New York and appears in the 1930 The Savoy Cocktail Book. Now you can enjoy it at The Scotch Malt Whisky Society from 22 January to 2 February 2020.
