The Prince’s Trust Scotland are working in partnership with the NHS to deliver a six-week course giving young people in Edinburgh the training and experience needed to take the next steps in securing a job within the health and social care sector.

Get into Healthcare is an exciting opportunity from The Prince’s Trust and NHS Lothian, aimed at 18 – 30 year olds, to gain training, work experience and jobs in the healthcare sector.

The course will offer participants a placement at the Western General Hospital and a guaranteed interview with the NHS.

Social care organisation CrossReach are also taking part with their own Get Into programme. The five-week programme offers young people, aged between 16 and 30, the chance to explorer a career across their wide range of social care services.

These opportunities are supporting young people to gain relevant experience in real workplaces, building their confidence and adding to their CVs.

Successful applicants will also have their travel costs and lunches provided. Taking part will not impact on existing benefits. The deadline for applications is Monday 22 April.

If successful, applicants should be available for a local selection day on the 24 April.
