Two public events around the proposal to redevelop the Powderhall site will be held next week.
This is regarded as a major development opportunity not only for housing but also as a way of getting from one area of Edinburgh to the other. The Water of Leith bounds it on one side and Broughton Road on the other.
The first meeting is on 28 August 2018 at McDonald Road Library in the Nelson Hall and the second is on 29 August 2018 at Drummond High School. Both workshops will review the consultation which took place earlier in the summer and feed back to the public what people said they wanted.
There will be a physical model to explore proposed building forms and uses, and any comments made at the event by members of the public will be recorded and fed back to the design team.
There will be another public event after 24 September 2018 when the proposed vision will be presented for review and further discussion.
Following the June events a report on the numbers of people who attended and what they said has been produced for you to read before the public events next week. What would you like to see at this site? Tell us in the comments below.
