Hand says he is building a team to entertain

Murrayfield Racers will allow every paying adult to bring a child aged under-16 to their home games free.

And, all wheelchair users will be allowed free access to home games with their carer allowed in for £5.

Racers will play in the National Ice Hockey League 1 Cup (NIHL) and the Scottish National League (SNL).

Admission will be £10 for every paying adult who will be able to bring one child free. A subsequent child will be £5.

A family ticket will cost £20 and will include two adults and two children.

Early bird season tickets will be available from August 1. Adults season tickets are priced at £150 until the end of August. After that they will cost £175.

Each adult season ticket allows fans to receive a child season ticket free.

Subsequent child season tickets will be £75 for early bird and £85 after that.

Wheelchair users season tickets will be free and their career will be £75 for an early bird pass and £80 after that.

A family season ticket allows two adults and two children under-16 entry and will be £300 at the early bird price and £350 after that.

The season ticket will allow the holder access to a minimum of 20 home games.

Their website will be here soon too.

This will include the club’s launch game, all NIHL1 first round games (six in total) SNL League cup games (four), eight SNL league games and the Scottish Cup first round home game.

If the club progress in the cup and play-off games then normal ticket prices will apply.

Tony Hand, the club’s head of hockey operations, said: “We want to make ice hockey available to all and we believe our pricing strategy will bring old and new fans to Murrayfield.

“The club aim to entertain them and to make sure they come back for more. I am building a squad that will do just that.”
