Bonhams are holding a golf and valuation day in July when they invite you to have your golfing memorabilia valued for free by their experts, and also have a round of golf.
The event takes place at Musselburgh Links Golf Course on 3 July between 12 and 5pm. A talk will be given by Mungo Parks, great grandson of Willie Park Senior, the first winner in 1860 and four-time winner of the British Open.
Bonhams Senior Valuer, Hamish Wilson said: “Valuation days are a great way of discovering more about the things you treasure. Over the years we’ve seen some wonderful pieces of golfing memorabilia that have then been offered successfully at auction. The very rare matching pair of 1957 Masters admissions tickets will be offered in the sporting sale on 24 October 2018 at an estimate of £400-£500.”
- A prize for the winning round will be presented in the clubhouse afterwards. (Players must register by 25 June by contacting Hamish.wilson@bonhams.com Course fee £8.50 + £10 for hire of hickory clubs).
