Scottish tech entrepreneurs are invited to apply for the next Pitch @Palace. This was founded by the Duke of York in 2014 to help entrepreneurs get their work better known.

There is a whole programme behind it which would help any entrepreneur to connect with potential supporters, angels, mentors and business partners.

The event rolls into Edinburgh on 2 July 20-18 when Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University will host the touring event.

This will provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs to learn about the programme, connect with local stakeholders and also get some mentoring. From this event and after an application is lodged a short list is drawn up for entrepreneurs to attend Pitch@Palace Boot Camp.

Executive Dean of Edinburgh Business School, Heather McGregor, said:  “We’re delighted to be hosting Pitch@Palace On Tour and to be supporting this great initiative in Scotland’s capital city.

“Pitch@Palace stands out from all other start-up competitions. The programme, launched by The Duke of York, gives Entrepreneurs and early-stage businesses access to an unparalleled network of people and organisations that can really help them take off.

“Here at Edinburgh Business School and Heriot-Watt, we have a long history of supporting small business start-ups and encouraging entrepreneurship.

“Those who attend Pitch@Palace On Tour Edinburgh and go on to win a place at Pitch@Palace Boot Camp will get the opportunity to present their ideas to an influential audience from the worlds of entrepreneurship, technology, media and investment.

“What’s also important is the fact that the support does not end there. All Entrepreneurs selected to Pitch at Boot Camp and St. James’s Palace will join a network of Pitch@Palace Alumni and receive ongoing support.

“It is an exceptional opportunity and we’re appealing to Entrepreneurs from all over Scotland to get to it and apply!”
