Over 60 anglers from all over Scotland and a group from the North of England will contest a major fund-raising event in the Lothians on Saturday.
It is one of the biggest one-day, bank-fishing competitions held North of the Border and is hosted by Markle Fishery near East Linton.
The popular fishery has hosted the event for the last seven years and is renowned for quality trout.
Markle has three lochs set in the East Lothian countryside and the complex is a commended Scottish Tourist Board Two-star visitor attraction.
One of the organisers, Jock Kettles, said Scotland needed funds to send a 14-strong team and a manager to one-day internationals in Ireland and Wales later this year.
And they hope to raise around £3,000 to benefit the Scottish loch-style fishing team.
Assembly is from 8am and the event closes at 4pm. Fishing is from the bank only.
Fishers tackle shop and online fishing store based in Penicuik are among the sponsors of the sold-out event.
Anglers will draw for a peg and move to different pegs during the day.
The fisherman landing the largest number of fish during the day will win the Markle Fishery Trophy.
