Scotland’s Hogmanay revellers can continue the festive celebrations and start 2018 in style with the New Year’s Day Raceday at Musselburgh Racecourse. Fast becoming the ultimate place to be on the first Bank Holiday of the New Year, the five star visitor attraction’s raceday sells out annually and tickets are now available for purchase.
Wrap up warm for the spectacular jump racing action at the famed New Year’s Day raceday which features one of the most historic events in the world – the New Year Sprint. Now a traditional highlight, the £40,000 Hogmaneigh Hurdle is not to be missed. For those looking to take a break from the Jump racing, they can warm up in seasonal flavour with mulled cider and carvery pork rolls, amongst other festive bites.
Sarah Montgomery, Commercial Director, of Musselburgh Racecourse commented: “Whether it is a fun-filled night that carries on into the early hours or a quiet night in with family and friends, January 1 can sometimes feel like the festive party is over. Our New Year’s Day Raceday is the ultimate antidote to the January Blues and is fast becoming one of our most popular days in the racing calendar.”
Doors open at 11am and tickets cost £35 with children under 17 going free when accompanied by an adult. Early Bird ticket prices are £25 until 11.59pm on Friday 8 December.
