Ordinaryson release their 2nd album entitled ‘Round Here’ through their own Travelled Music record label.
Recorded at Post Electric Studio in Edinburgh, the recording complex set up by Scottish rockers Idlewild, the album was mixed by Brendan Portues. Portues is a well known Berwick musician and producer who has recently commissioned work to television and major record company Universal Publishing.
The sophomore release tells tales of small town life showcased beautifully by title track ‘Round Here’. The accompanying video highlights life in Berwick upon Tweed as lead singer/songwriter Ian Thompson travels on a daily commute. Somewhat of a viral hit on Facebook the video has amassed over 30,000 views, over twice the population of the much loved border town having enjoyed the film.
Recent airplay at Shielfield Park, home of Berwick Rangers, the only English club to play in the Scottish leagues, is another highlight in a growing list of successes for Ordinaryson. Their previous UK and European tours have been matched by radio sessions for BBC Introducing and festival appearances across Scotland and Germany.
Catch the group live as they host The Complete Stones Roses at The Auction House in Berwick upon Tweed on Saturday 23rd December. Further tour dates are to be announced as the band hope to raise funds from album sales to tour Europe in 2018.
