Hibs’ long serving defender Paul Hanlon has been named in the Scotland squad to face the Netherlands in a Vauxhall International Challenge match next week.

The 27-year-old previously captained Scotland Under-19s and under-21s.

Interim Scotland manager Malky Mackay watched him at Easter Road last Tuesday in Hibs’ victory over Hearts and was impressed.

Scottish FA Performance Director Mackay will take charge of the national team with Eric Black appointed as assistant coach for the game at Pittodrie.

Former team mate Jason Cummings is also named in the squad for the first time alongside Aberdeen’s Ryan Christie.

John McGinn and Christophe Berra are also included.

Cardiff City right back Callum Paterson makes a reappearance having recently made two appearances for Cardiff City.
